Parent and Family Orientation Matriculation "Weekend"

The title of th Student checking in during Matriculation Day is module is Matriculation Weekend, which is different from the more common "Matriculation Day." The reason for this is that some Matriculation events for the Class of 2029 will actually begin on Friday, August 15th. While most of these Friday events are optional, it's highly recommended that you continue to check the Matriculation Headquarters Website for the upcoming schedule

Key events and recommendations for Friday, August 15th:

Female Cadets - Uniform Measurement: Female cadets are strongly encouraged to visit the Cadet Store to be measured for their uniforms on Friday. This is recommended because women's measurements take more time to ensure a proper fit. You can schedule your visit to coincide with the Women's Reception in the afternoon.
Student Success Center: The Student Success Center will be open throughout the day to provide information about the services they offer to cadets.
Disability Services Meeting: If your child has a disability and you haven't yet met Shannon McKenzie, Friday is an ideal day to do so. She will host a group briefing at the Success Center at 1:00 PM. It is highly recommended that you reach out to Shannon before Matriculation Day to introduce yourselves, ask questions, and determine any necessary paperwork, regardless of whether your child plans to use the accommodations immediately.
Receptions: There may be recpetions you will be invited to attend. These events are a great way to start building connections and becoming familiar with the college community.
"The Gathering" and Campus Ministry Meet-and-Greet: Late in the afternoon, the Chaplain will host "The Gathering," a brief church service where the various Campus Ministers will be introduced. This offers a relaxing opportunity for families to take a break. Following the service, everyone is invited to Mark Clark Hall to meet with representatives from the different religious programs on campus.

Important Reminder for Friday Evening: Please ensure you have a good meal and get to bed early, as Saturday will be an early and potentially emotional day.

Saturday, August 16, 2025 - Official Matriculation Day for the Class of 2029! Check-in begins promptly at 7:00 AM.
